Cheater Finder: Check If Your Partner Is on Dating Apps

Enter a username your partner uses and we’ll scan Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Badoo, OkCupid and other apps for a matching profile, for free and without them knowing.

How to check if your partner is on dating apps

  1. List their usernames. Write down every handle you know: Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, gaming accounts, and the part before the @ in their email.
  2. Scan each one above. Our free scan checks the major dating apps for that username. Tinder gives the most results, so pay attention to Tinder hits.
  3. Try variations. People change usernames slightly for dating apps: adding numbers, removing dots, or adding their city.
  4. Check the photos. If a profile comes up, compare the photos with ones you know. A reverse image search of their usual photos can also turn up profiles under another name.
  5. Look at the details before deciding. Age, city, job, and bio should line up. If they don’t, it may be someone else with the same username.

What a cheater finder can and can’t tell you

It can show

  • Whether a public dating profile uses that username
  • The profile’s public photos, name, age and bio
  • Which app the profile is on

It can’t show

  • Messages, matches or who they’ve been talking to
  • When they last opened the app
  • Profiles under usernames you don’t know

A profile is a strong lead, not proof of cheating on its own. Many people forget to delete an old account, or made one before the relationship started.

Is a profile old or active?

  • New photos you haven’t seen, or photos taken during your relationship, point to recent use.
  • A bio mentioning recent events (a new job, a recent trip) is a sign it was edited lately.
  • Their age on the profile: if it’s already a year out of date, the profile may be old.
  • Paused or snoozed accounts (Hinge, Bumble) still exist but aren’t shown to new people.

Free vs. paid cheater finders

Paid services such as Cheaterbuster search dating apps using a name, age and location and charge per search or by subscription. Many “free” tools run a long fake scan and then ask for payment before showing anything. Our username scan shows real results for free. If you only know a name, we link to a clearly labeled paid people-search partner instead.

If you find a profile

Take a screenshot with the date, then decide how to bring it up. Calm, specific questions work better than accusations: “I came across this profile, can we talk about it?” gives them room to explain an old account. If you’re in a situation where talking feels unsafe, reach out to someone you trust first.

FAQ

Is there a free cheater finder?

Yes. Our username scan is free with no sign-up. It checks Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Badoo, OkCupid and other apps. Name-only searches through people-search services are paid.

Will my partner know I searched?

No. The scan only looks at public profile data and doesn’t notify anyone.

Does finding a dating profile prove cheating?

No. It shows an account exists. It could be old, paused, or made before your relationship. Look at the details and talk to them.

Which dating apps can I check?

Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Badoo, OkCupid, Happn, POF and more. Matches are most common on Tinder, so check those results first.

Is it legal to check if someone is on dating apps?

Looking at public profiles is generally legal. Logging into someone else’s phone, email or dating account without permission usually isn’t, so stick to public information.
