What people use our dating profile finder for
Verify a new match
Before a first date, make sure the person you’re talking to is real and that their name, age and photos line up with what they told you.
Check if someone is still on dating apps
If you’re in a relationship and something feels off, see whether a username you know still has an active public dating profile.
Spot fake and scam profiles
Romance scammers reuse stolen photos and the same usernames across sites. A hidden or secret profile finder is one of the fastest ways to spot a fake.
How the free search works
- Enter a username. Use a handle you know the person uses: their Instagram, TikTok or Snapchat name, a gaming tag, or the first part of their email address.
- We check public profile pages. Our scanner looks for public dating profiles using that exact username and shows you its progress live.
- Review the results. If a profile is found, you’ll see the public details (photo, name, age, location, bio) and a link to the profile. If nothing comes up, we’ll suggest what to try next.

Which dating sites we search
- Tinder
- Plenty of Fish (POF)
- OkCupid
- Badoo
- Match
- Zoosk
- + other dating & social sites
Our scanner only checks profiles that are publicly viewable by username. Some popular apps, including Bumble, Hinge and Facebook Dating, have no public profile pages at all, so no outside tool can search them directly. For those, use the methods in our guide on finding hidden dating profiles.
The best ways to find someone’s hidden dating profiles
There’s no single search box that covers every dating app, so the right way to find someone’s dating profile depends on what you know about the person. Here are the free methods that work to find hidden dating profiles and other online dating profiles, starting with the most accurate. Use them together with our dating app profile finder above.
Search for dating accounts by username
This is the fastest way to see if someone has a dating profile. People reuse the same handle across Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and dating apps, so a username you already know is often the key to their secret dating profiles. Type it into the dating profile finder above and we’ll check public profile pages for an exact match. If nothing comes up, try variations with and without numbers, dots or underscores. Our free username search for dating sites explains where to find someone’s usernames.
Tinder profile search engine
Tinder has no search bar, but users who set a Tinder username get a public web profile. That means you can run a free Tinder profile search and lookup from outside the app, with no Tinder account. Enter their username or Instagram handle, and our Tinder profile finder checks whether a matching account exists. See our full Tinder profile search guide for searching Tinder by name, photo and more.
How to find dating profiles by name
Dating apps don’t let anyone search by name, and names aren’t unique. Still, a name can lead you to the person’s social profiles and usernames. Try searching "First Last" dating profile or "First Last" "City" in Google or Bing, collect the usernames you find, and run them through our free search. Our guide to finding hidden dating profiles covers this step by step.
Find dating accounts by email
Many people use the first part of their email as a username. For example, smithcool2025@gmail.com suggests the username smithcool2025. Enter an email above and we’ll offer to scan that username for free. You can also search the full address in quotes to find social profiles and accounts linked to it. More in our dating profile search by email guide.
Can you find dating profiles by phone number?
Not directly, because dating apps keep phone numbers private. But a number can lead you to a name, a WhatsApp or Telegram profile, and usernames you can search. A reverse phone lookup from a paid partner can also link a number to public records. See how to find dating profiles by phone number.
How to find someone on dating sites by image
A reverse image search with Google Lens, Bing Visual Search or TinEye shows where else a photo appears online. It’s the best way to uncover a fake dating profile: if a match’s photos appear under a different name, you’re likely dealing with a catfish or scammer. Compare everything you find with what you already know about the person.

Stay safe: romance scam red flags
The FTC reports that people lose more than a billion dollars a year to romance scams. Be careful if a match:
- Quickly asks to move off the dating app to WhatsApp, Telegram or text.
- Avoids video calls or always has an excuse not to meet.
- Says they’re overseas: military, an oil rig, a doctor with an aid group.
- Brings up crypto or an investment “opportunity,” or asks for money, gift cards or wire transfers.
- Has photos that look like a model’s, or that show up under other names in a reverse image search.
If you think you’ve found a scammer, report the profile in the app and file a report at ReportFraud.ftc.gov (US) or with the FBI’s IC3.
Frequently asked questions
Is this dating profile finder really free?
Yes. The username scan is 100% free, with no sign-up, no credit card and no search limit. Some result screens also show an optional button for a paid partner search. It’s always labeled, and you never have to use it.
Can I uncover someone’s secret dating profiles for free?
Yes. Start with a free username search above. If you don’t know their username, use the free name, email and image methods in our hidden dating profiles guide. Many “free” dating profile lookup sites show a fake scan and then ask you to pay. Ours shows real results for free.
Will the person know I searched for them?
No. We only look at publicly available profile pages, and nobody is notified. We also don’t store your searches.
Can I search dating sites without creating an account?
Yes. You don’t need a Tinder or any other dating account to use our search. Just enter the username.
Why didn’t you find a profile I know exists?
The profile may be private, deleted, or under a different username. Some apps, like Bumble and Hinge, have no public profiles at all. Try other usernames the person uses, or follow our hidden profiles guide.
Can I find a dating profile by name, email or phone number?
Not directly. Dating apps don’t make names, emails or phone numbers searchable. Our free scan works with usernames, and our guides explain free workarounds. A paid people-search partner can look up public records linked to a name, email or phone.
Does a matching username mean it’s the same person?
Not always. Different people can use the same username. Compare the photos, age, location and bio before drawing conclusions.
